Reflexology

Reflexology is a gentle complementary health therapy based on the theory that certain points on the feet and hands correspond with areas and organs throughout the whole of the body.

Our bodies have a natural desire to remain in a state of equilibrium, where all the body systems are balanced and working in harmony. However, with everyday life stresses, chemicals and pollutants in our environment, food and water, this balance is sometimes lost which is when we can begin to experience health problems. Reflexology may be able to help restore this balance.

Because each reflexology session treats the body as a whole through just working on the feet or hands, any imbalances can hopefully be rectified encouraging the body’s natural healing processes to work more efficiently.

Reflexology is suitable for people of all ages right from newborn babies to those receiving end of life care and everyone in between. There may be situations where reflexology may not be suitable, but I will be happy to discuss these with you and will advise you on the best approach.

Everyone reacts to reflexology differently, but most people find the whole experience extremely relaxing, encouraging a feeling of well-being and a more positive outlook. Many patients find that they sleep more soundly following treatment, feel less stressed, more able to cope with everyday stresses.
